03-31-2004 I know, it's been way too long since I have updated this front page. Anyhow, as you may have noticed in my blog, I now have a section of this site called the Sketch o' the Week, where I just doodle something down and post it for your viewing enjoyment. This is the second week of his endeavor, and I have a double post (my two cents for both sides of the "Ninja vs. Pirate" debate). Enjoy. 09-14-2003 Good lord, I didn't know it would be so long before I updated the site. Okay, first things first. The server that this site is on is no longer on the UH campus, so download capabilities are fully up and running. Secondly, my video card got RMAed over the summer, so it's okay now. The last big update is that I added an Artwork section to the site. I hope to have some more pics for that sometime soon, so bear with me. Not much else going on that I haven't already covered elsewhere. No new video work in the foreseeable future, but I do have an idea for a webcomic brewin' in my head, so I'll probably be turning my interest in that direction. Fun stuff. --Jared 06-16-2003 Okay, good news and bad news. Good news: The downloads on this site are back up, since Jeff got the bandwidth-limiting up and running. But please, for the love of God, don't abuse the site. It'll only piss off the University again, and we can't have that. Also, I updated my blog. The link is either below, or on the links page. On to the bad news: nothing you haven't heard before, just my computer is still down. The video card is somewhere in upstate New York, and I should get a replacement sometime in the next week or two. Once I get it back, it's time for some more video work. Imagine, some new content on this site. Weird, I know. Anyhow, gotta go. I hope to make some new ones soon, but my video card decided to go for a craptastic turn and stop working. So, after I get that fixed, I might be able to start working again. Apparently, downloads are only allowed to incentive members of AMV.org right at the moment. Downloads will be open to all members as of April 21st. My videos now have a home at AnimeMusicVideos.org. Go there and search for "evil_genius_39" or "Evil Genius Productions" under the search portion of the site. You can ignore the pledge drive pop-up, unless you really want to give that site some money ^_^ Anyhow, thought you might like to know. Ja ne. --Jared 03-07-2003 Shit hell and damn. The university is getting all uppity about what kind of "university business" this server is doing, so the download links have been screwed for a while. Apparently, Jeff is going to set up some sort of firewall to act as a bandwidth controller, so that's fun. So yeah, no downloads for the time being. I've been working on some CG artwork, and I might post some of that sometime (since you can actually access that @_@). Anyhow, me bitching about it isn't getting it any closer to done. Getting a new 120GB hard drive for Christmas doesn't hurt anything ^_^ Well, now on to other projects. Later. --Jared 12-11-2002 Holy hell, it's another update. It almost shames me to look at the previous date, since their is so much time in between. Oh well, so it goes. I've gotten all of the pages up to code now, and I think the site looks pretty nice now. Hell of a lot more legible, that's for damn sure. I also did away with the "Friends" page. Not that I don't like these people anymore, because I still really do, but the page would be a pain in the ass to make, and I doubt anyone outside our group really even cares. I may put it back up another time, but whatever :-p I was working on my Web Technologies project, and I got on a roll and finished it all at once. Nothing fancy, but very workable. Go see it. I hope you like the new look (okay, I only changed the colors and added some kanji, but the pictures load correctly now. So there). I'm writing all of the code by hand, which is taking a while, but it's very educational (benkyoo, benkyoo, benkyoo!!). I only have the front page done so far, but the others are soon to follow. I'm going to have to write html for one of my classes, so I might as well have a head start. Anyhow, the videos are in the same place, and the links are all hot, so have at it. --Jared |
